There is lots of advice out there about how to pick a good Realtor. I am not trying to recreate the wheel with this blog. Rather, share my opinion and leave it at that.
First and most important, identify what you are looking for in that Realtor that will serve your needs. Some helpful criteria include: experience, knowledge of market, educational background, character, full or part-time agent, recommendations, sales volume and involvement in local Realtor association.
Secondly, do you need a Realtor that is technology savvy? This is especially important when you are selecting a Realtor to list your home or property. In addition, you want a Realtor that has access to as much information as possible to help you find that next home.
Lastly, determine if that Realtor has the communication style that you relate to. Remember, you are selecting that person to help you list or buy a home/property. You want to be able to relate to your Realtor and have him/her understand your needs. As well, you want to be able to contact them and have them respond in a timely manner.
Hopefully, this will give you ideas to consider when selecting your next Realtor.
